Thinking seriously about law — and where it's going
Ruminants was created to open up deeper conversations about the legal system: its strengths, its blind spots, and its future.
- —What is changing in their area of law?
- —What is no longer working?
- —Where is reform needed — or being resisted?
- —How are technology, politics, and public expectations reshaping legal institutions?
- —And what role should lawyers play in shaping that future?
The result is a series of candid, intellectually rigorous discussions reflecting the complexity of modern legal practice.
Ruminants sits at the intersection of law, policy, ethics, business, and public life.
Depth over noise
There is no shortage of legal commentary. Most of it stays close to the surface. Ruminants takes a different approach:
Long-form conversations
Episodes are designed to allow ideas to develop properly — beyond headlines, talking points, and social media soundbites.
Serious legal discussion
Guests are encouraged to engage honestly with complexity, uncertainty, reform, and institutional pressure.
Diverse perspectives
The series spans commercial law, public interest litigation, academia, regulation, journalism, technology, and government.
Focused on change
Each conversation explores how law is responding to technological disruption, political pressure, shifting social expectations, and evolving professional practice.
